Job Description
Sheboygan Christian School, a parent-governed Pre K–12 school serving over 600 students from more than 50 area churches, is seeking applicants for a FULL TIME HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH AND HISTORY TEACHER (Grades 9–12).
The ideal candidate will have a Christian worldview, a passion for Christian education, and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
The ideal candidate will be warm, professional, and collaborative, with strong classroom leadership and a commitment to excellent instruction. In addition, this candidate will be creative, flexible, a self-starter, an excellent communicator, and have a passion for teaching students.
As an English teacher, the ideal candidate will foster a love for language and literature in their classroom and guide students to think critically, communicate clearly, and engage with texts through a Christian worldview.
This position also includes teaching a high school history course. As a history teacher, the ideal candidate will help students develop historical understanding through a biblical worldview and develop as thoughtful and engaged citizens.
Experience teaching English and familiarity with the Teaching for Transformation framework is preferred.

Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree and Middle/Secondary Education Certification
Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction certification/licensure in English
