Job Description
This long-term substitute position includes teaching 2 sections each of 6th grade Social Studies, 6th grade English, and 7th grade Literature/Composition while also covering one study hall per day. DeMotte Christian Schools is located about an hour southeast of Chicago in Northwest Indiana in a community that has strongly supported Christian education for over 75 years.
Job Requirements
Applicants should hold a bachelor's degree in English Language Arts, Social Studies, and/or secondary education or in a comparable field from an accredited college or university, agree fully with the school's statement of beliefs, be an active member of a Protestant church which confesses to the 5 solas of the Reformation - Scripture Alone, Christ Alone, Faith Alone, Grace Alone, to God's Glory Alone, be scripturally sound in his or her teaching, and must lead an exemplary Christian life. Opportunities for long-term employment could apply to an ideal candidate. Candidates without a teaching license that have experience working with middle school should apply. Opportunities to lead extracurricular activities are also available.
