The Director of Admissions and Enrollment will faithfully support Bradenton Christian School’s mission statement to prepare the hearts and minds of God’s covenantal children in partnership with the home and church for service in God’s world. It is the Director of Admissions and Enrollment’s responsibility to carry out the policies of the School Board as they relate to the function of the school, to the classroom, and to their association with students and parents.

Summary:

The Director of Admissions and Enrollment reports directly to the Superintendent and is responsible for directing the school’s admissions strategies and programs for family recruitment, enrollment, and retention. This role also serves on the Leadership Team and Admissions Committee.

Spiritual Leadership

  • Leads by example in modeling a Christ-centered lifestyle and integrates biblical principles into all aspects of the admissions process from initial inquiry through the enrollment of new students in the school.
  • Encourages direct reports to engage in spiritual formation activities including prayer groups and service projects.

Operational and Administrative Leadership

  • Works with leadership on the development and implementation of recruitment and enrollment strategies aligned with admissions budget, organizational goals, and strategies.
  • Provides leadership and oversight to the admissions staff.
  • Maintains metrics for all aspects of the admissions and re-enrollment process, with consistent monitoring and reporting of data. Analyzes data to identify opportunities to improve recruitment, enrollment, and retention strategies. Provides monthly reporting to Leadership Team.

Admissions Management

  • Oversees the Admissions Assistant throughout the admissions process and performs follow-up of all enrollment inquiries within established timeframes, tracks leads, and maintains consistent interactions with potential new families.
  • Communicates the school’s mission and admissions criteria to new families.
  • Organizes and maintains a tracking system for all interested families.
  • Partners with the Admissions Committee to ensure that all admissions policies are followed and reports new admissions to the Board for review and approval.
  • Informs new families of acceptance or denial to the school; provides registration materials and guides the registration process for accepted families.
  • Provides oversight of the annual setup of applications, checklists, and communication templates for the reenrollment of all current families.
  • Coordinates student shadow days with appropriate counselor, administrative assistant, and principal.
  • Coordinates and facilitates entrance exam dates with appropriate personnel; schedules exams dates with families.
  • Requests records from previous schools, including the use of Scribbles through the School District of Manatee County.

Recruitment and Public Relations

  • Develops and implements marketing and advertising strategies to attract and enroll prospective families; partners with outside institutions, local churches, preschools, and daycares to encourage interest in enrollment.
  • Evaluates the success of recruitment and enrollment efforts through measuring, evaluating, and reporting program effectiveness.
  • Cultivates relationships with outside institutions and the community to attract students to the school.
  • Oversees new parents and family events; organizes, plans, and attends open houses in partnership with school administration, faculty, staff, and families; develops and provides marketing materials, brochures, and applications.

Job Requirements

  • A clearly articulated testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior along with weekly in-person attendance in a Christian church.
  • A minimum of three years’ experience working in Admissions leadership.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail required.
  • Must be a team player with a desire to help and serve others.
  • Effectively communicates and collaborates with all members of the community.
  • Knowledge of FACTS or Student Information Systems preferred.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Google, and Adobe platforms.

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
