The Operations Coordinator plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of Avail Academy’s administrative operations.

Position Status: Part-time | Non-exempt

PURPOSE:

The Operations Coordinator reports to the President and plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of Avail Academy’s administrative operations, as well as coordinating effective and regular communications on behalf of marketing and advancement teams.

  5. Is highly organized and goal oriented.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Strategic and Administrative Support:

  1. Provides support to the President in executing strategic initiatives and operational goals.
  2. Coordinates and implements efficient systems to streamline operations.
  3. Maintains meticulous and accurate records, manages schedules, and ensures timely completion of tasks.
  4. Assist the Board of Directors and the Linkage Committee in file management, communications, and other tasks designated by the respective Chairs.

Development and Marketing Support:

  1. Assists the Director of Development in creating and executing strategies that enhance fundraising efforts.
  2. Provides administrative assistance in donor and fundraising campaigns.
  3. Assists the Director of Marketing in maintaining the academy’s digital apparel store and ordering various marketing collateral.
  4. Plays a crucial role in coordinating and planning the logistics of annual events, including a 5K Challenge, Avail Gala, and Grandparents Day.

Founded in 1961, Avail Academy has established itself as a cornerstone of Christian education. We have expanded our portfolio to include three campuses: Edina (K-8), Blaine (K-8), and a High School in Fridley. As an Operations Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to office at any of these locations, supporting the collaborative efforts of each. With deep roots and strong ties to local churches and neighborhoods, Avail Academy serves students from more than 80 churches, offering a nurturing environment that promotes academic excellence and spiritual growth. We are members of the Teaching For Transformation Network of Schools and Minndependent, and are CSI accredited. With an average class size of 18 students and a dedicated team of over 50 teachers, paraprofessionals, and administrative staff, we empower more than 400 students annually to thrive academically and spiritually.
