Elementary Teachers, Grades 3-5 and Grades 6-8
Norwalk Christian Academy teachers are committed to supporting their students to know God, trust God, and obey God.
NCA teachers teach in multi-age classrooms and should have a solid foundation of child development and behavior. Teachers should be able to plan, organize and implement appropriate instruction for all levels of students. They should be able to manage classroom behavior and discipline procedures to provide a safe and healthy learning environment for their students. They should be able to use appropriate tools to assess student progress and keep current records.
Job Requirements
Teachers must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be actively maturing in this relationship.
Teachers should be loyal to and support the mission, vision, and values of NCA and Fellowship Community Church.
Teachers should develop professional and effective relationships with students, parents and co-workers.
Teachers should continue to make improvements to their skills and accept coaching as needed.
Education Requirements
Education - Bachelor's degree is required
Certification - Current Iowa teaching certificate or actively working towards Iowa certification
