K-8 Robotics Teacher
Seeking a Robotics Teacher to create a dynamic STEM/Technology program
A Potter’s House teacher is committed to fulfilling the mission and vision of the school. The role includes all aspects of planning, organizing, and implementing an appropriate instructional program that guides and encourages students to become resilient followers of Jesus who are equipped to serve God and society to their fullest potential. The role of the Robotics Teacher is to create a dynamic STEM/Technology program. This role involves developing and delivering an engaging robotics curriculum and fostering a hands-on learning environment that encourages problem-solving and creativity.

- Preferred experience teaching robotics, engineering, or computer science in a K-8 setting.
- Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in robotics (e.g., Python, C++) and familiarity with robotic kits and platforms (e.g., LEGO Mindstorms, VEX Robotics).
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain robotic equipment and software.
- Experience with competitive robotics teams and coaching students for competitions.
- Knowledge of current educational technologies and their applications in the classroom.
- Ability to design and implement interdisciplinary STEM projects.
- Experience working with diverse student populations.
Education Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (required) or a Master’s degree (preferred) in Education, Robotics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Certifications: Active Michigan teaching certificate or actively working towards Michigan certification (preferred).
