Job Description: This position would entail teaching multiple subjects including reading, math, history, science, computer skills and Bible.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Spiritual Leadership:

  • Provide leadership rooted in Christian principles, fostering a Christ-centered school culture.
  • Live and show a lifestyle that bears the fruit of the Spirit.

2. Academic Excellence:

  • Plan and implement lesson plans that integrate Christian principles and values across various subject areas.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment where students feel valued, respected, and supported in their academic, personal, and spiritual growth.
  • Teach subject-specific content while incorporating biblical teachings and Christian worldview perspectives.
  • Provide individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs and abilities.
  • Assess student progress and achievement using a variety of assessment methods and provide timely feedback to students and parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support the overall mission and goals of the school.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices and Christian educational trends.
  • Serve as a positive role model for students, demonstrating Christian values such as compassion, integrity, and servant leadership

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in education or related field
  • Valid Iowa teaching certification/license.
  • Profound understanding and commitment to Christian faith and values.
  • Previous experience teaching in a Christian school or ministry setting preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and interactive lesson plans that promote critical thinking and active learning.
  • Dedication to fostering a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Willingness to adhere to the school's mission, vision, and statement of faith.

Working Conditions:

  • Typical school hours with occasional evening or weekend commitments for school events or meetings.
  • Classroom environment with periods of standing, sitting, and walking
  • The teacher must be able to handle the demands of young children and maintain a calm and nurturing atmosphere.
  • Interaction with students, parents, colleagues, and principal on a daily basis.
