Job Description
- Participating in student observations and the formation of learning plans.
- Participating in IEP meetings when requested.
- Working with ESS staff members to coordinate student accommodations, provide intervention strategies to gen. ed. teachers, and foster supportive learning environments for students on the ESS case load.
- Identifying and modeling best practices.
- Encouraging collaboration between gen. ed. and ESS staff members.
- Identifying and sharing available support services from external agencies.
- Other duties as requested by member school administrators and/or the CEC Director.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Michigan Special Education certification.
- Experience working in an ESS program is desired.
