Job Description
At Pella Christian High School, we are passionate about our mission to empower God’s children to join in His restorative work. We are seeking a qualified educator who is passionate about agricultural education and the development of leadership through FFA. The ideal candidate will inspire students by integrating hands-on vocational agriculture instruction with FFA opportunities, embrace collaboration, and facilitate high-quality, student-centered learning that equips students for success in agriculture and beyond.
Job Requirements
Individual Requirements:
- Desire to honor Christ in all teaching and learning activities.
- Demonstrate outstanding content knowledge and an understanding of the teaching and learning process.
- Establish and carry out learning objectives based on a Reformed Biblical perspective and consistent with student needs, curricular standards, and knowledge of student growth and development.
- Properly administer and utilize assessments to inform instruction.
- Improve skill and knowledge based on current trends, research and methods in instructional techniques, technology, problem solving, and interdisciplinary connections.
- Work effectively with students, parents, administrators, colleagues, and the greater community.
- Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills with students and colleagues.
Education Requirements
- Possess or be able to obtain an Iowa Teaching License.
- Possess or be able to obtain a Vocational Agriculture Endorsement.
