Job Description
A part-time instructor/chapel director for fundamental music to perform essential teaching duties, assuring that the mission of the school is supported. Models a servant’s heart and promotes an attitude of respect, teamwork and professionalism; supporting our school; praying for and with other faculty and staff; encouraging others in Godly living and excellence through music.
Job Requirements
- Teach each class music once per week
- Lead and teach band to 5-8th graders
- Create music schedules
- Plan programs in winter and spring
- Coordinate singing outings of service for lower elementary students
- Assist in planning special /all-school events with music
- Plan weekly chapels (with support of faculty)
- Assist in planning and implementing yearly themes
- Profess a personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord
- Maintain a positive Christian testimony
- Be involved in a local church of like faith and practice, consistent with the ECS Statement of Faith
- Agree with and adhere to the employee handbook
- Strong communication skills
- Able to use technology
Education Requirements
-Washington State certification preferred (or ability to obtain a certificate)
-minimum Bachelor of Arts in Music (or related field) preferred
