Job Description

Rochester Christian School’s mission is to partner with parents to develop a child’s head, heart, and hands for Jesus Christ through God’s Word and academic excellence. We are seeking a Principal beginning in the 2026-2027 school year to lead our team of highly-trained faculty and staff. The Principal is responsible for personnel, academic, and operational leadership in alignment with our mission and vision. Responsibilities include:

  • articulating a clear philosophy of Christian Education
  • administering the policies of the Board and the policies stated in the constitution regarding the operation of the school
  • recruitment of staff and assigning teaching duties
  • developing and reviewing curriculum
  • acquiring materials to support the curriculum
  • supervision of the instructional process
  • promoting professional growth of the members of the faculty
  • regulating and enforcing discipline
  • administrating and providing for the functioning of the school office
  • representing RCS to the broader community

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Education or Administration
  • Experience in Christian Education
  • Valid teaching certification preferred
  • belief in the importance of educating the whole child
  • unwavering commitment to Christian Education
  • belief in and alignment with RCS’s core beliefs and educational philosophy, and a willingness to uphold the vision and mission of the school

Related Benefits

Salary ranging from $50,000 to $75,000 based on qualifications.
