Job Summary:

CCCS is seeking a full-time Preschool Teacher for our campus in Walnut Creek, CA. 

The Preschool Teacher position is a year-round that follows CCCS academic calendar from August through May, including Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring Break Camps, as well as Summer Camp from June to July. This is a team teaching position, offering you the opportunity to share responsibilities, learn from one another, and work in a supportive environment.

CCCS Preschool Teachers are energetic, nurturing, reliable, professional, and love children. Our teachers are passionate about teaching in a Christ-centered environment and enthusiastic about building a strong foundation of curriculum for beginning learners. 

Job Details:

• Work with a team to implement Preschool and Pre-K curriculum, teach, and administer all required duties for safe and effective operation of the preschool.
• Adapt activities and support to meet the diverse needs of each child.
• Supervise lunch, play time, and other events as assigned.
• Maintain open communication with parents and provide updates on child development.
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom to foster a conducive learning environment. 
• Follow established protocols for preschool operations.
• Other duties as assigned by the Preschool Director.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time.

• Must be able to run, squat or kneel, bend at the waist, quickly react and respond to a child’s needs, conflicts and/or emergencies.
• Must be able to lift 15lbs at a time including pushing and pulling furniture and other related objects in the classroom.

Qualifications: 

• 12+ ECE Units or higher
• 6 months experience 
• CPR Certification
• Commitment to the Christian faith aligning with CCCS statement of faith
