Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a biblically integrated, age-appropriate curriculum that supports early childhood development.
- Create a safe, positive, and stimulating classroom environment where children feel valued and encouraged.
- Incorporate Christian teachings and values into daily lessons, fostering spiritual growth in students.
- Use a variety of instructional methods to support diverse learning styles, including hands-on activities, storytelling, music, and play.
- Assess and document student progress, providing feedback to parents and school leadership.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child’s growth, behavior, and overall well-being.
- Maintain a structured yet flexible classroom routine that balances instruction, play, and rest.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to enhance the overall school experience.
- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Brown County Christian School in all interactions and teaching practices.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Requirements:
- A personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a commitment to Christian education.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Previous experience in early childhood education or a preschool setting.
- Strong classroom management skills and a nurturing, patient demeanor.
- Ability to integrate faith into teaching in a meaningful and engaging way.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Complete provided beginning of year CPR and First Aid certification .
- Must pass a background check and meet all state and school requirements.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Previous experience in early childhood education or a preschool setting.
