Job Description
Muskegon Christian School is seeking a full-time Nature Based Preschool Teacher for the 25/26 school year. MCS is a Preschool through 6th grade Christian School established in 1882 in Muskegon, Michigan. The mission of MCS is to equip minds and hearts to love, learn and lead for Christ. The school has a current K-6 full-time enrollment of 260 students and an additional 80 PS students. Our staff consists of a total of 45 individuals, including 20 full-time teachers in both Spanish Immersion and outdoor education themed English classrooms. The average classroom size is 18 students. MCS has the unique opportunity to serve a wide variety of God’s children. The student population is economically, ethnically, culturally, and denominationally diverse. Job Requirements
- Preschool teaching experience
- Active member of church community
- Displays a passion for developing preschool/early childcare age-appropriate educational activities
- Creative and Energetic
- Good communication
- Interested / Willing to do outdoor learning
Education Requirements
- BA in Education preferred and state of Michigan teaching certificate preferred for lead teachers.
- Coursework in early childcare preferred for support staff.
