Job Description
The middle school History/ Bible teacher is responsible for delivering curricular content with innovative strategies that fully engage students in learning, while modeling Christ to deepen students’ understanding of a Christian world and life view. This position will include teaching 6th – 8th grade History and Bible. A BCCS teacher must hold the conviction that Jesus Christ is preeminent in every program of the school. To be considered for this position, a Bible teacher must affirm the Westminster Confession of Faith, the inerrancy of Scripture, the Divinity of Jesus Christ, the substitutionary atonement of the death of Jesus Christ, and the bodily resurrection and ascension of Jesus

Education Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a spiritually mature and growing Christian who is active in his/her Christian life • Must hold a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Must hold a valid teacher’s certification - can be waived by the head of schools
• A Masters in a History or Social Studies related field is preferred but not required.
• A successful candidate must sign an agreement with Articles II and III of the BCCS Constitution - A successful candidate must make a credible profession of faith and maintain active membership in a church whose teachings agree with the school’s statement of faith.
• Must have an understanding and commitment to distinctively Christian education from a Reformed perspective
