K-12 Teacher Job Description Reports to: Principal
General Description: Responsible for maintaining an academically rigorous and spiritually healthy learning environment. A more complete and detailed job description and expectations is outlined in the teacher handbook and will be made available at the request of the applicant or upon hire.
Minimum Education: State and ACSI teacher certification preferred, but must be able to obtain ACSI certification Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education for the grade/subject applying for

Demonstrated effectiveness in positive classroom management
Ability to work effectively as a team member
Effective communicator with parents, students and staff
Spiritual Qualities
Clear Christian testimony and a life that reflects love for God and obedience to his Word. Full agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith and Christian philosophy of education. Christian role model in attitude, speech, and actions toward others. This includes being committed to God’s Biblical standards for sexual conduct. Be actively engaged in an evangelical church that has a Statement of Faith in agreement with the school’s Statement of Faith. A strong commitment to maintaining peace and unity among the Body of Christ.
