Job Overview:
We are seeking a full-time Middle School Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year who will bring passion, creativity, and a heart for teaching to our collaborative team. At Community Christian School, we believe in the power of teamwork. Our middle school team (grades 5-8) shares teaching responsibilities, enabling each teacher to shine in their areas of expertise. • A practicing Christian who supports Community Christian School’s Statement of Faith and Mission Statements.
• Passionate about helping students grow academically, spiritually, and personally.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Inspire and Engage: Foster student engagement to encourage progress and support each student’s learning journey.
• High Expectations: Set and maintain high standards for student growth, clearly articulating learning goals and the “why” behind the curriculum.
• Curriculum Development: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum that meets developmental goals.
• Classroom Management: Prepare lesson materials, grade assignments, and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Communication: Maintain open and respectful communication with families, co-workers, and other school staff.
• Teaching Practices: Employ effective teaching methods, tailor learning opportunities to individual student needs, and create a nurturing, Jesus-centered learning environment.
• Record Keeping: Keep accurate records of attendance, incidents, and other noteworthy events in accordance with licensing guidelines and program policies.
• Professional Development: Participate in professional development workshops provided by Community Christian School.
• Behavior Management: Manage student behavior in line with the Parent/Student Handbook.
• Create a Positive Environment: Cultivate a safe, positive, and Jesus-centered learning atmosphere where students feel known, valued, and celebrated.
• Faith Integration: Use the Teaching for Transformation framework to help students find their place in God’s story.
• Other Duties: Perform related duties as assigned and adhere to Community Christian’s policies and procedures.

Special Preference: Candidates with experience helping students find their place in God’s story using the Teaching for Transformation framework will be given special consideration.

Qualifications:

• Hold a Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Education or a related field.
• Possess a valid teaching license.
• Profess Christianity with a consistent testimony among family, peers, and students.
• Maintain a healthy and engaging learning environment.
• Develop authentic relationships with students.
• Utilize the latest research and best practices in teaching.
• Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Communicate effectively, both written and verbally.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $34,000 – $49,000 (based on education and experience).
• Benefits: Health insurance, 403(b) employer match (3%), and additional benefits.
