Middle School Math and Science Teacher (7th Grade)

Job Requirements

• Teach 7th grade life science and 7th grade math / pre-algebra using engaging, age-appropriate instructional strategies

• Plan and deliver lessons aligned with curriculum standards and school learning objectives

• Integrate a biblical worldview into science and math instruction using our Teaching for Transformation (TfT) framework.

• Create a structured, supportive, and Christ-centered classroom environment

• Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and guide instruction

• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic needs of students

• Coordinate and lead the annual 7th grade science camp trip, including planning, logistics, communication, and on-site supervision

• Collaborate with feeder schools to coordinate science camp participation and shared expectations

• Communicate clearly and proactively with parents regarding student progress and science camp details

• Work collaboratively with middle school colleagues and administration

• Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and school events

Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Science, Mathematics, or a related field

• Valid Michigan teaching certification or ability to obtain certification

• Experience teaching middle school students preferred
