Job Description
Sanborn Christian School serves Preschool through 8th grade students in Sanborn, IA and has been in existence for over 108 years. The current enrollment is 113 students with class sizes averaging around 11 students per class. We have a need to fill a full time middle school (junior high) teaching position starting the 2026-2027 school year. This position may be a 6th grade homeroom with the potential to teach specific subject areas depending on the interests and strengths of the candidates. Education Requirements
Educational Requirements for this position include:
- BA degree in Education
- Middle school endorsements and/or endorsements in specific teaching areas
- Iowa teaching license, or ability to obtain such a license
Other job requirements include:
- A personal commitment to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior as well as a commitment to the school’s Reformed perspective of Christian Education.
- Ability to work as a team member, relate well with students, and have the ability to effectively communicate with students, employees and parents.
- Demonstrate a passion for Christian education and love of students.
- Demonstrate high standards of professional practice and understanding of teaching and learning from a Christian perspective.
