Job Description

Sheboygan Christian School, a parent-governed Pre K–12 school serving over 600 students from more than 50 area churches, is seeking applicants for a FULL TIME MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOL STEM TEACHER (Grades 6–12).

The ideal candidate will have a Christian worldview, a passion for Christian education, and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

The ideal candidate will be warm, professional, and collaborative, with strong classroom leadership and a commitment to excellent instruction.  In addition, this candidate will be creative, flexible, a self-starter, an excellent communicator, and have a passion for teaching students.  

As a middle and high school STEM teacher, the ideal candidate will foster curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving skills as students explore real-world challenges through the lens of innovation and design. 

This position includes teaching responsibilities in High School Computer Science, Project Lead The Way (PLTW) Introduction to Engineering Design, and STEM elective courses for grades 6–8.  

Candidates without PLTW certification will be provided the necessary professional development to teach PLTW courses.   Access to professional learning for AP Computer Science courses will also be provided if necessary.

Experience teaching STEM or computer science and familiarity with the Teaching for Transformation framework is preferred.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree and Education Certification

Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction certification/licensure in Computer, Science, Mathematics, or Technical Education.
