Highland Christian is a PreK-8th grade building that serves a diverse group of 650 students. As a nationally acclaimed “Model PLC School”, Highland Christian’s focus on collaboration is highly celebrated and the key to obtaining a “Grade A” from the state of Indiana. Within student- centered classrooms, teams of teachers are results oriented to ensure all students grow and perform at high levels.
Highland Christian School is seeking an Instructional Aide to begin working the second semester of the 2024-2025 school year. This aide will work within a collaborative team to ensure high levels of learning for all students with a primary focus working with students in grades 1st-5th and potentially working with middle school students. Hours will most likely be M-F from 8:45am-1:45pm. Additional opportunities to lead extracurriculars or athletics may be possible.

Responsibilities:
- Support assigned students through age-appropriate activities
- Lead instructional small group lessons that correspond with academic standards
- Monitor students during outdoor and indoor recess, as assigned
- Collaborate with teachers to determine the best way to support assigned students
- Provide emotional support and redirection to children
- Complete state required trainings (limited, but required)
- Other tasks may be assigned by the classroom teacher
