Highland Christian is a PreK-8th grade building that serves a diverse group of 650 students. As a nationally acclaimed “Model PLC School”, Highland Christian’s focus on collaboration is highly celebrated and the key to obtaining a “Grade A” from the state of Indiana. Within student- centered classrooms, teams of teachers are results oriented to ensure all students grow and perform at high levels. 

Highland Christian School is seeking an Instructional Aide for the 2025-2026 school year. This aide will work within a collaborative team to ensure high levels of learning for all students with a primary focus working with students in grades 1st-5th and potentially working with middle school students. Hours will most likely be M-F from 8:45am -1:45pm. Additional opportunities to lead extracurriculars or athletics may be possible.

Education Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Support assigned students through age-appropriate activities 
  • Lead instructional small group lessons that correspond with academic standards
  • Monitor students during outdoor and indoor recess, as assigned
  • Collaborate with teachers to determine the best way to support assigned students
  • Provide emotional support and redirection to children
  • Complete state required trainings (limited, but required)
  • Other tasks may be assigned by the classroom teacher
