Job Description
The Head of School serves as the key leader, equipper, and inspiration for the Ireton Christian School community. This individual is responsible for guiding the teachers, support staff, and students toward the school’s mission of providing Christ-centered education. The Head of School oversees all aspects of instruction, personnel, operations, development, and public relations.

- How would you define the marks of educational excellence in a Christian school?
- Describe your leadership and management style and the strengths you believe you bring to ICS and this position.

Job Requirements
- Lead, mentor, and manage salaried and hourly employees, fostering a collaborative and Christ-centered work environment.
- Supervise all staff to ensure alignment with the school’s mission and high standards of excellence in education.
- Oversee instructional practices and curriculum to ensure a Biblical worldview is integrated across all academic subjects.
- Manage daily school operations, including budgeting, facility use, and policy implementation.
- Cultivate relationships with families, the church, and the community to support enrollment and development goals.
- Serve as the primary representative of the school in public relations and communications.
- Reports directly to the Ireton Christian School Board.
Education Requirements
Successful classroom teaching experience
Master’s Degree (or working toward administrative license)

Ireton Christian School runs a Monday - Thursday schedule. Staff works on Friday a month. The morning is used for professional development, we have a meal together and then the afternoon is classroom work time!
