Job Description
Reporting to the School Board, the full-time Head of School at Gloucester County Christian School (Sewell, NJ) is the chief academic, administrative, and spiritual leader of the school, responsible for advancing its mission of providing Christ-centered education. The Head of School ensures excellence in teaching and learning, cultivates a biblical culture, manages daily operations, and partners with the School Board, faculty, families, and church leadership to foster student success and spiritual growth.

Job Requirements
Instructional Leadership:
- Cultivate a shared vision that prioritizes student learning and spiritual formation
- Oversee curriculum design to ensure rigor, biblical integration, and alignment across grade levels
- Evaluate teachers regularly through classroom visits, formal observations, and constructive feedback
- Support faculty in using assessments to measure growth and adjust instruction
- Uphold high academic expectations and mentor teachers in best practices
Management and Operations:
- Develop and execute effective plans and routines to ensure safety, health, and emotional well-being of students
- Lead faculty and staff recruitment, hiring, evaluation, and professional development
- Manage school schedules, resources, and policies to optimize time for teaching and collaboration
- Oversee finances, facilities, and compliance with school board policies, legal requirements, and accreditation standards
- Communicate regularly with the School Board and head pastor, fostering strong partnerships
Professional and Biblical Culture
- Model a Christ-centered life and encourage faculty, staff, and students to grow spiritually and academically
- Lead chapel services, discipleship programs, and spiritual mentorship opportunities
- Nurture a culture of reflection, collaboration, and professional growth among staff
- Set high standards of excellence in academics, conduct, and biblical values
- Handle conflict with wisdom, grace, and a commitment to biblical reconciliation
- Maintain open, consistent communication with all stakeholders, including families and donors
Education Requirements
Master's degree in education, administration, or related field
At least 10 years of experience in education, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
Willingness to become an active member of Hardingville Bible Church
