We are seeking candidates with an entrepreneurial mentality and a pioneering mindset who are excited about the prospect of building a Christian high school from the ground up.
Our hope is that the Founding Principal will use the 2025–2026 school year to develop the blueprint for the school and recruit staff and students, with the goal of opening the doors of the school in Fall of 2026.
Job Requirements
The Principal is the top administrative position at the emerging Brookfield Christian High School and responsible for developing and overseeing all aspects of leadership, instruction, personnel, operations, and public relations, ensuring a Reformed perspective is maintained in all aspects of educational programming. As a visionary leader, the Principal advises the Brookfield Christian High School Board on policy, decision-making and long-range planning. As a skilled administrator, the Principal implements these decisions and plans by equipping, motivating, holding accountable, empowering and overseeing staff and volunteers.
Job Purpose/Summary: The Principal will plan, direct, and coordinate the academic and nonacademic activities of Brookfield Christian High School.
Primary Duties:
Leadership:
- Provide primary leadership to the school
- Serve as educational and administrative expert to the Board
- Lead in taking the high school from vision to reality and in the development and implementation of future strategic plans
- Uphold the school constitution especially as it relates to the management of the school Keep the Board informed through monthly written report, on the educational and organizational matters
- Collaborate with the board to review and create policy
Personnel:
- Work with Board in staffing the school Organize the faculty in fulfilling curricular goals Communicate staff needs to Board
- Assign professional staff personnel to specific duties.
- Annually review and approve job performance of all faculty and staff
- Establish programs for the orientation of new teachers and in-service training for all teachers
- Manage a growing organizational staffing structure
Instruction:
- Research and develop educational programing
- Supervise and lead staff in the development and implementation of curriculum, their understanding and use of instructional strategies, academic programs and other related duties.
- Regulate and enforce discipline
- Coordinate support for students with special needs Promote professional learning among faculty and staff
Public Relations:
- Support the school’s mission, vision, and statement of beliefs Develop school brand
- Lead marketing and enrollment efforts Recruit, meet with and enroll families
- Foster positive relationships between the school and its support organizations (BCS, BCRC, Elmbrook Church)
- Promote Christian education in the local community
Operations:
- Execute decisions of the Board Supervise daily operations of the school
- Develop an annual school budget and be responsible for the administration of the budget
- Develop, supervise and coordinate extracurricular opportunities Direct the admissions process
- Oversee the accreditation process
- Coordinate and collaborate with Elmbrook Church staff to ensure stewardly use of building and positive relationship
- Assist in setting and reaching funding goals through casting the school’s mission an
vision with donors
Other:
- Other duties as assigned by the board

Physical Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job the employee may be required to use hands and arms to operate tools and equipment. The job may require some physical exertion and the employee should be able to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Education Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college is required. A Master’s degree in education and/or school administration or in the process or acquiring is preferred.
