Job Description
The ideal candidate will foster a love for music while introducing foundational concepts in rhythm, melody, singing, and movement.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and teach an age-appropriate general music curriculum for grades Young Fives – 4th Grade
- Introduce students to basic music theory, vocal technique, instruments, and worship music
- Organize and lead performances for chapel, concerts, and school events
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and the fine arts team
- Foster a joyful, Christ-centered classroom environment with the implementation of TfT practices
- Lead Elementary Christmas Program
- Help lead worship times
Education Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or related field
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate (Position part of the Shared Time Program)
- Experience working with elementary-aged students
- Deep personal faith and the ability to integrate biblical principles into teaching
