Job Description
The Nanaimo Christian School Development Assistant position provides administrative support to the ongoing work of the Nanaimo Christian School Development office. The Development team supports the educational program of the school through three main functions:
- Community building
- Marketing & communications
- Fund development
Reports to: Director of Development
Hours: Part-time, 16 hours per week (September – June) with limited hours at end of August
Compensation: $26.31 – $29.85 per hour based on experience and qualifications

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS
Branding
Assists with school merchandise
Website
Updates content as needed
Drafts news blog posts
Social Media
Creates posts
Monitors and engages in responses as needed
All-school Newsletter
Drafts news from Development and submits blurbs to newsletter editor
Photography
Attends various school activities and events to take photos
Organizes and tags photos in database
FUND DEVELOPMENT
Donation Management
Maintains donation records in donor database
Creates reports from data
Annual Fund
Assists with drafting and coordinating printing and distribution of annual fund materials
Coordinates promotion of fundraising events
Gala/Fundraising events
Assists with soliciting and coordinating auction items
Provides support for event planning committee
Assists at fundraising events
COMMUNITY RELATIONS
Various Events
Partners with Community Coordinator as needed at various community building events
Surveys
Assists with developing and distributing surveys to gather feedback
Collects data from student applications
Donor Database
Maintains contact records of current, past, grandparent, alumni families
