Job Description
The Director of Student Support is responsible for providing leadership over the Educational Support Service program (academic support and Social Work team), supporting student development, and playing a role in behavior management/student discipline. This is a full-time school year position. There will be limited summer responsibilities, including meeting prospective students that may need extra support, as well as preparing for a successful start to the new school year for the Support Service program. A degree in Special Education is critical for this role. The Director of Student Support is part of the Allendale Christian School Leadership Team.

Job Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education
- Masters in Special Education and leadership experience preferred.
- Current and valid Michigan State Teaching Certificate
- Has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ
- Believe the Bible is God breathed, inspired by the Holy Spirit and the absolute Word of God
- Ability to communicate effectively and positively with parents, students and a variety of people and personality styles.
- Shall be an active participant in good standing of a Christian church, be able to lead from a Reformed worldview as defined in the ACS Faith statement
Education Requirements
- Minimum of a Master's Degree (or candidate for a Master's Degree)
- Masters in Special Education and leadership experience preferred.
