Job Description
The Office of Advancement advances the mission, purposes, and goals of Central Wisconsin Christian School through fundraising and partnerships, strategic communications, volunteer leadership support, and alumni and community engagement. The Director of Advancement is a senior member of the CWC leadership team and is responsible for leading and managing fundraising strategies and activities to support the organization’s mission and goals. The Director creates and executes a strategic plan to qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors and manages a portfolio of individual donors and collaborates with colleagues to facilitate the major and planned gift pipelines. The Director will guide the creation of public relations materials and organize meetings with business and civic groups for the purpose of explaining Christ-centered education. The Director will provide guidance on alumni relations and supervise and support advancement staff.

Committed Christian who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, adheres to the historic, Reformed faith, and is an active member in a church that professes the historic, Christian faith in the Reformed tradition.
- Dedicated to a sound Christian philosophy and believes in the mission of CWC as described in its statement of philosophy and purpose.
- Possesses appropriate certification.
- Possesses prior successful experience in a managerial and/or administrative position.
- Ability to communicate effectively as a writer and a speaker in a variety of contexts.
- Will enroll own school age children at CWC.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Overall Organization Advancement - Director will continually seek to improve advancement programs and trends based on continuing education and research. Will also seek professional advice from mentors and key committee members to pursue excellence in advancement for Central Wisconsin Christian School.
- Student Advancement - Director will operate as part of the advancement team in the promotion of Central Wisconsin Christian School to prospective families.
- Donor Advancement - Director will oversee giving programs and provide guidance to the advancement team when fulfilling tasks associated with the annual fund campaign, capital fundraising, Harvest Auction, and other fundraising activities within Central Wisconsin Christian School. The Director will schedule visits with donors and supporters of Christian education and create connections with supporters and members of the advancement team. The Director will seek to expand the donor base of CWC.
- Public Relations Advancement - The Director will guide creation of public relations materials as determined by the Advancement Committee and organize meetings with business and civic groups for the purpose of explaining the purpose of Christ-centered education.
- Church Relations Advancement - The Director will meet with pastors and church councils to create a stronger tie to CWC and community churches.
- Estate Planning Advancement - The Director will schedule and follow-up on estate-planning appointments through the Barnabas Foundation and encourage philanthropic and endowment giving to ensure the long-term future of CWC.
- Alumni Advancement - The Director will provide guidance on alumni relationships and oversee the advancement team’s alumni relation activities.
- Supervision of support staff assistance (utilizing current professional staff) in maintaining donor records, contact notes, mailings, special events set-up, preparation of promotional packets, and other duties as assigned in collaboration with the Head of School.
- Maintain appropriate records of time allotments and financial records tied to this position.
- Hold membership on various committees related to the advancement of CWC.
- Other leadership duties as assigned by the Head of School to support staff and students in fulfilling the missions of Central Wisconsin Christian School.

Voluntary Vision insurance is available for those above at their own cost to be deducted each pay
period from their paychecks.

a. Health Savings Account
i. CWC Contributes $2400 per family per year and $1200 per single per year
ii. Employees may contribute funds through payroll deductions
Dental Coverage
a. Annual Maximum Benefit/Individual - $2,000
Life Insurance – premium paid by CWC
a. Staff - $50,000
b. Accidental Death - $50,000
c. Dependent-spouse - $5,000
d. Dependent-children - $5,000
e. Optional additional $50,000 life paid by employee
Short Term Disability – premium paid by CWC
a. Elimination Period – 30 days for disability due to injury/30 days for disability due to sickness
b. Weekly Benefit – 60% of weekly earnings to a maximum benefit of $1000/week
c. Maximum Period of Payment – 22 weeks
Long Term Disability - premium paid by CWC
a. Elimination Period – 180 days
b. Monthly Benefit – 60% of monthly earnings with a maximum benefit of $5,000/month
c. Maximum Period of Payment – Social Security Normal Retirement Age
CWC 401K plan – 100% match on the first 3% and 50% match on the next 4% with a maximum of
5%. To receive the full 5% match by CWC, an employee would need to contribute 7% of their salary.
Sick Days
a. 10 paid sick days per contracted year
b. Maximum accumulation of 30 days over the course of three years.
Personal Days Based on Years of Service
a. Years 1 - 9 = 1 personal day
b. Years 10 - 24 = 2 personal days
c. Years 25+ = 3 personal days
