Title: Director of Admissions and Promotion
Part Time (50%) up to Full Time (100%)
Evaluation: Performance on the job will be evaluated by the administrator and school board
Reports Directly To: School Administrator (Principal)
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree Required
Experience:
3-5 Years Experience in Education and/or Business setting
Experience in School Admissions preferred
Experience in Marketing and Sales a plus

- A personal commitment to Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior as well as a commitment biblical worldview
- A person who aligns with Oskaloosa Christian’s mission and vision and affirms the OCS faith statement (Statement of Beliefs 101, Policy Manual).
- Member of a local Bible believing church.
- Ability to work as a team member and relate well with parents, staff and prospective families
- Exhibits a humble attitude of Christ-like service and leadership
- Ability to effectively communicate with all types of people
- Ability to be malleable with personal skill to complement administrative team
- Ability to build rapport for the school inside and outside the school.
- Demonstrates organization, flexibility, patience, responsibility, and willingness to learn
- Demonstrates a passion for Christian education and love of students
- Demonstrates high standards of best professional practice for admissions and enrollment
- Possesses strong self starter work ethic and willing to see tasks to completion

Major Areas of Responsibility:
Enrollment and Admissions (50%)
- Serves as the director of admissions and is responsible for representing and marketing the school to parents and the community in order to bring in new students and retain current students. This includes managing the entire process and events from initial inquiry to enrollment to integration into the school.
- Works closely with the principal, secretary and the bookkeeper making sure all families are familiar with the FACTS SIS system
- Walks alongside new families making sure they are registered, interviewed, enrolled, and plugged into the OCS community with a mentor family
- Facilitates and implements the smooth transition of Preschool to Kindergarten for families interested in continuing at OCS
- Assists with Kindergarten Discovery Days by interacting with potential new school families
- Coordinates admissions testing for all new transfer students
- Directs and implements all new family interviews
Marketing and Promotion (50%)
- Strategically plans and implements effective strategies regarding public relations and advancement of OCS in central Iowa and beyond.
- Manages the school’s website, social media channels and promotional materials.
- Oversees all communications, large or small, associated with the school
- Facilitates flooding our community with branded OSCI clothing and apparel in addition to keeping the brand of OCS consistent on all platforms
- Develop and implement marketing and parent retention plan
- Works closely with Willing Workers, Advancement, and Promotions committees to promote the school in various ways throughout the year
- Develops relationships with local businesses to market the school in positive ways
- Thinks outside the box to get the word out about our school
- Organizes events that strengthens OCS community and reaches out to invite new families
- Work alongside and assist the Director of Learning and Advancement
- Other duties as appropriate and assigned.
Start date: July 1, 2025
