Job Description

Mission (Purpose and Function): Cultivate a love for music, develop musical skills, and inspire students to reach their full potential through music while integrating a Biblical worldview. This includes fostering a positive Christian learning environment, promoting teamwork, and encouraging creativity and self-expression.

Position Overview:

  • Provide a comprehensive music education including: a blend of theory, technique, and practical performance
  • Create a positive and supportive Christian environment where students are nurtured and encouraged to explore and grow in their musical talents
  • Connect students with a broader musician community which may include performing for audiences and participating festivals.
  • Conduct ongoing assessment of student achievement through formal and informal assessments.
  • Oversee the band/choir/music room including the music library, instruments, music stands, and other equipment
  • Coordinate and organize programs in cooperation with Orchestra teacher.

Job Requirements

Students Served:

  1. Young 5’s - 4th grade Music
  2. 5th-8th grade - Choir
  3. 5th - 8th grade - Band

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Music or a Music-related field from an accredited institution.

  • Holds current valid certification from the state of Michigan.

  • Experience preferred.
