Job Description
The Agriculture Teacher at Western Christian will create a caring, respectful, well-kept, well-managed, safe, structured, and supportive Christian learning environment that fosters growth for all students. This role involves facilitating distinctively Christian instruction, curriculum, and assessment while preparing daily lesson plans aligned with Ag/CTE standards and benchmarks. The teacher will advocate for students, maintaining a “students first” focus, and recognize all students, parents, and colleagues as image bearers of God, fostering constructive cooperation, prayer, and support within the school community. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining strong relationships with students, administrators, colleagues, parents, and school supporters, while continually growing in professional knowledge related to faith development, Christian education, curriculum, instruction, and assessment. The teacher will serve as a champion of the school and Christian education, demonstrating success in the classroom with a current teaching license. Essential skills include collaboration, flexibility, innovation, leadership, and the ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders. A deep understanding of teaching and learning from a Christian perspective is required, along with a commitment to supporting and fulfilling the mission of the school. The ideal candidate will embody a passion for teaching, learning, and serving others, demonstrating effective listening, instructional strategies, curriculum knowledge, assessment abilities, teamwork, and a positive, teachable attitude and spirit.

Education Requirements
- Demonstrate success as a teacher and hold a current teaching license.
- Secondary Agriculture and/or Industrial Education Certification.
