Job Description
Central Valley Christian High School (CVCS) is seeking a full-time Agriculture Education Instructor and FFA Advisor for the 2026-27 school year. This position supervises FFA activities, SAE projects, and CDE teams as part of a 3+ personal department. CVCS has a vibrant and growing FFA and Agriculture Education program. This program enjoys strong administrative and community support, including active Ag Advisory and Ag Boosters Committees. The responsibilities for this position will include teaching Ag Mechanics and coaching CDE teams. Additional responsibilities may include teaching additional Ag Education courses, such as: Ag Biology, Intro to Agriscience, and Ag Leadership, and being a species advisor for the fall Tulare County Fair. Job Requirements
A candidate for this position must:
- Agree with CVC's Articles I - IV of the CVCS Constitution.
- Teach a variety of Agriculture Education courses, including Ag Mechanics.
- Serve as the FFA Chapter Advisor, attending chapter meetings and conferences, and leading student participation in activities, leadership development, and competitions.
- Coach and support CDE (Career Development Events) teams, such as: Ag Mechanics, Marketing & Citrus
- Supervise and assist students with SAE projects and county fair participation, including Dairy, Sheep, and Ag Mechanic Projects.
- Collaborate with the Ag Advisory Committee and Ag Boosters Committee to strengthen program initiatives.
- Maintain accurate student records and ensure compliance with state and school reporting requirements.
- Participate in professional development and uphold the school’s mission and values.
- Ability to devote additional hours each week to support Ag program activities
- Commit to integrating faith and learning in the classroom.
- Possess strong organization, communication and leadership skills.
Education Requirements
Candidate must hold proper California Agricultural Science Teaching Credential. Teachers of all experience levels are welcome to apply. Experience in Agricultural Mechanics, FFA leadership and CDE coaching preferred.

- Starting annual base salary of approximately $48,000, increased depending on level of degree/credentialing and applicable experience.
