Job Description
The Afterschool Care Lead will oversee the daily operation of our afterschool program, providing supervision, homework support, and recreational activities for elementary-aged children. The ideal candidate is dependable, creative, and passionate about working with children in a faith-based setting.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times. Afterschool Care Program runs from 3 - 5:30 pm.
- Plan and implement engaging activities, games, and crafts.
- Provide support for homework and academic enrichment.
- Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and school leadership.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment.
- Uphold the values and mission of Legacy Christian School.
Education Requirements
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working with children, preferably in an educational or childcare setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 480 hours of experience working with children.
- Must be at least 19 years old.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to manage a group of children in a structured and supportive manner.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A personal commitment to Christian faith and lifestyle consistent with the school’s values.
Related Benefits
Approximately 15 hours per week, typically from [3 - 5:30 pm] on school days.
