This candidate will demonstrate their love for God, passion for students, and dedication to teaching the whole child as the Inclusion Specialist for students in grades 5th-8th within a Christ-centered environment. This position is also recognized as our Educational Support Services Director.

Terms of Employment
- The Inclusion Specialist position at Borculo Christian School is 80% to 100%. Based on the applicant's interest.
- This position will be for students in grades 5-8.
- The inclusion specialist will be on campus four to five days a week, based on FTE.
- Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. (subject to change due to ZPS bussing times)
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education.
- Must hold or be in pursuit of a valid teaching license in the state of Michigan.
- The ideal candidate would hold a degree in special education, school counseling, or a reading specialty.
Education Requirements
Basic Responsibilities:
- Establish a school-wide referral process and participate with Student Success Teams.
- Collaborate with general education teachers concerning students who are at-risk in the learning environment (Consultation Role)
- Evaluate and diagnose skills, learning styles, neurodevelopmental patterns, and disabilities (Diagnostic Role)
- Remediate learning deficits through direct instruction with students (Teaching Role)
- Coordinate the work of paraprofessionals (Supervisor Role)
- Promote understanding and use of student-specific accommodations/modifications (Advocacy Role)
- Maintain a valid state-level teacher certification.
