Job Description
Reformed Heritage Christian School is a growing educational community dedicated to providing students with the individual attention they need through a low student-teacher ratio. At RHCS, we believe the Christian school is an extension of the Christian home. Our mission is to prepare young people for life and eternity by cultivating their God-given strengths and abilities. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 3rd/4th Grade Teacher to join our faculty. This teacher will serve in a combined-grade classroom setting. The ideal candidate is committed to academic excellence, spiritual growth, and nurturing the whole child in a Christ-centered environment.
Job Requirements
Spiritual & Personal Character:
- Demonstrates a growing, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Is a member in good standing of a Bible-believing church.
- Actively engages in personal devotions and Bible study.
- Models Christ in both classroom leadership and personal life.
Professional Expectations:
- Has experience teaching at the elementary level, with the ability to manage and inspire a combined-grade classroom.
- Plans and delivers thoughtful, creative, and engaging instruction.
- Differentiates instruction to meet the diverse needs of students in both grades.
Classroom & Student Engagement:
- Demonstrates strong classroom management skills rooted in patience, consistency, and Christ-like love.
- Creates a respectful, encouraging, and community-focused classroom environment.
- Inspires students to reach their God-given potential academically, socially, and spiritually.
Communication & Collaboration:
- Maintains clear and open communication with students, parents, and fellow staff.
- Uses newsletters, emails, and in-person meetings to partner with families in student success.
- Works effectively with colleagues to foster a unified and supportive school culture.
Education Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in education is required.
- Teaching certification is preferred.
