Job Description
The Elementary Technology Teacher is responsible for teaching students in grades 2–5 foundational technology skills, with a primary emphasis on STEM, keyboarding/typing, basic computer skills, and responsible technology use. This role supports the mission of the school by integrating a Christian worldview, helping students understand how technology can be used to honor God, serve others, and support learning in safe and responsible ways.
Job Requirements

Teach foundational technology skills, including:

Proper keyboarding and typing techniques

Basic computer and device navigation

Introduction to age-appropriate digital tools and educational software

Provide direct instruction and practice in typing skills appropriate for grades 1–5

Teach and reinforce digital citizenship and online safety, including:

Safe and appropriate internet use

Protecting personal information

Respectful and Christ-honoring communication online

Making wise choices when using technology

Integrate biblical values into technology instruction, emphasizing:

Using technology in ways that honor God and others

Develop engaging, age-appropriate lessons that support classroom learning

Assess student progress in typing and basic technology skills

Education Requirements

Valid Teaching certificate

Experience teaching keyboarding or elementary technology

Familiarity with Google Workspace for Education or similar platform
