Appointment of Trustees

At least one-half of the Trustees for the CSI Pension and Insurance Plans must represent the participants.  Up to now, the understanding was that such participants had to be employees participating in the Plans.  However, we have now received clarification that individuals who are no longer employees but have credits in the CSI Pension Plan or individuals receiving a pension from the CSI Pension Plan can also serve as Trustees.

The remaining Trustees must be board members or former board members of Christian school societies that are participating employers under the Plan at the time of Trustee appointment or must be other non-employee individuals who have been actively involved in the administration of a Christian school society, or its educational function, that is a participating employer under the plan at the time of Trustee appointment.
