Survey Results

Recently we requested your participation in a survey of board/employee payment of
hospital/medical insurance costs for employees and dependants. The questionnaire was
mailed to 117 CSI member organizations in Canada and 85 responses were received.

Following are the results; the numbers in brackets indicate the results of the previous surveys:

In looking towards next year:

Of the 19 Boards currently paying full cost, 16 or 84.2% expect to pay the full cost and 3
or 15.8% are undecided.

Of the 62 currently paying partial cost, 52 or 83.9% expect to pay the same percentage of
the cost, 9 or 15.3% are uncertain what percentage will be paid, and 1 or 1.6% will pay less.
